Bible Treasury Bookstore (BTB) was started in July 1987 by Arnold Bouter and
Brian Reynolds.
The store is located on the East Coast of Canada in the Dartmouth/Halifax
region. The warehouse for the store is located in New Minas, in the Annapolis
Valley area of Nova Scotia. The BTB carries a large inventory of select
Christian literature. This selection includes practically all the titles of the
early "brethren movement", but also includes many other solid Christian writers
of the past and present. The vision of the BTB is to make available select
Christian literature that is a help and encouragement to all Christians. The
criteria for our titles is that they be doctrinally sound, conservative
evangelical, pre-millennial and dispensational in outlook. We also carry an
extensive selection of children's literature.
The BTB has many loyal customers in the Maritime provinces of Canada as well as
a Canada-wide mail order service. The mail order service has expanded over the
years and is a major focus of the ministry of the store. Increasingly there has
been a growing number of customers in the United States.
We are thankful to note that in the years that we have been open, we have seen
some come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We can also say, by
the Lord’s grace, that the store has been an encouragement to many Christians
by introducing them to Christian books that have made a difference in their
spiritual growth. As we look to the future, we would desire the continued
prayers of the saints to further this ministry until the Lord comes. 1
